What is PMC?
PMC stands for Precious Metal Clay. I use both fine silver and sterling silver PMC, as well as copper and bronze metal clay. Metal clay, both fine and base, is powdered metal combined with a binder. After the clay has been formed into a piece of jewelry and dried, it is placed in a kiln and fired. The binder is burned away, causing the metal to sinter together. What is left behind is sterling or fine silver, copper, or bronze. This type of jewelry-making material is excellent for sculpting, impressions, or any other beautiful jewelry creations one can imagine.
